Bringing specialized care to the doorsteps of the underserved and remote communities.
Across Pakistan, millions of people living in remote and rural communities have little to no access to disability care. Distance, poverty, and a severe shortage of specialized services mean that many children and adults with disabilities go undiagnosed, untreated, and cut off from the support they need to live with dignity and independence. ARPD's Outreach Disability Camps were created to close this gap, bringing free, professional rehabilitation services directly to the doorstep of underserved communities across the country.
Our Outreach Disability Camps provide the following services:
Our multidisciplinary teams travel to each camp to conduct on-site evaluations and diagnose physical disabilities, followed by hands-on physiotherapy sessions tailored to individual needs. Caregivers are also trained in home-based exercises, so the benefits of treatment continue long after the camp has ended.
Patients in need of prosthetics, orthotics, or other assistive devices are assessed on-site and referred for free, custom-fitted devices through ARPD's Orthopedic Workshop, restoring mobility and independence at no cost.
Patients requiring extended or in-patient treatment are referred to ARPD's main Rehabilitation Center for ongoing care, free of charge. Alongside clinical services, our teams also lead community education sessions on disability awareness and prevention, helping reduce stigma and empower families with knowledge that protects long-term wellbeing.
Our Outreach Disability Camps regularly travel to remote and far-flung communities across Pakistan, where access to disability healthcare is scarce or nonexistent. Below are some of the locations our camps have reached:
