ARPD operates a fully equipped orthopedic workshop at its rehabilitation center in Peshawar, Pakistan — where custom-made prosthetics, orthotics, and mobility aids are designed, manufactured, and donated to individuals in need, completely free of cost.
In our orthopedic workshop, we design and manufacture a wide range of assistive devices tailored to each patient's unique needs, including:
Custom lower limb prostheses for individuals with amputations, including above-knee and below-knee prosthetics for both adults and children.
Spinal braces, limb orthoses, splints, and supportive braces designed to stabilize, align, and improve function for patients living with physical disabilities.
Wheelchairs, CP chairs, crutches, walkers, canes, and orthopedic footwear — providing patients with the support they need for movement and independence in daily life.
Each device is crafted with precision by skilled technicians using both traditional techniques and advanced modular technologies. The workshop maintains a strong focus on quality, functionality, and comfort, ensuring every device contributes meaningfully to a patient's recovery and quality of life.
We serve individuals living with physical disabilities — many of whom are children or adults from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. In Pakistan, limb loss from road traffic accidents, conflict, and untreated medical conditions remains widespread, and for most affected families the cost of a prosthetic limb or assistive device is simply out of reach. By providing these devices free of charge, we restore not only mobility but also hope, independence, and inclusion.
