Vocational Training Program :

At ARPD, we believe in the transformative power of education and skills development. Our Professional Development/Vocational Training Program stands as a shining example of our commitment to empowering marginalized women, including those with disabilities and those from socioeconomically deprived backgrounds. Women from marginalized communities often experience feelings of worthlessness and purposelessness when confined to unproductive home environments due to societal biases. ARPD’s program provides them with a profound sense of belonging, offering opportunities for skill development and empowerment that break the shackles of societal constraints, restoring their sense of purpose and self-worth.

Skills for Empowerment:

The heart of our program lies in honing essential skills that open doors to a brighter future. We offer free training in four key areas.

Tailoring Custom Garments:

In our well-equipped tailoring workshop, we have several sewing machines and all the necessary equipment for manufacturing custom hand-made garments. This skill empowers women to create clothing that can be sold to support themselves and their families. The tailoring shop serves as a meeting ground for women, fostering a sense of community and purpose.

Crafting Handmade Jewelry

Our jewelry crafting workshop provides women with the skills to create beautiful, handmade jewelry pieces. This not only nurtures their artistic talents but also offers a potential avenue for entrepreneurship and income generation.

Cosmetology:

At ARPD, we understand the importance of self-care and confidence. Our on-site beauty parlor is where women from marginalized communities receive free-of-cost beautician training. This training equips them with the skills needed to pursue careers in the beauty industry or even start their own businesses.

Digital Literacy:

In today’s digital age, digital literacy is a fundamental skill. Our program includes digital literacy training, ensuring that women are not left behind in the digital landscape. This knowledge opens up opportunities for online work and access to information.

Empowering Women:

In essence, ARPD’s Professional Development/Vocational Training Program offers marginalized women a chance to acquire skills, assert their independence, and contribute to a more equitable society. Our goal is to empower women, including those with disabilities and those facing economic challenges, to become active, productive members of society who can shape their own destinies and inspire positive change in their communities. Together, we are creating a more inclusive and empowered world for all women.
