ARPD’s Mayo Hospital Partnership

Restoring mobility for individuals with disabilities is central to ARPD’s mission. To extend this commitment beyond Peshawar, ARPD has established a dedicated program at Mayo Hospital in Lahore — one of Punjab’s oldest and largest healthcare institutions, serving an average of 2,000 patients daily. Through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), ARPD provides free, custom-fitted prosthetic limbs to patients at Mayo Hospital, bridging a critical gap for individuals and families across Punjab who face financial and geographic barriers to care.

How the Program Works

ARPD’s team at Mayo Hospital conducts thorough consultations, medical evaluations, and precise measurements for each patient. These specifications are then forwarded to ARPD’s Orthopedic Workshop at our rehabilitation center in Peshawar, where skilled technicians fabricate custom prosthetic limbs to the highest standards. Upon completion, the prosthetics are delivered to Mayo Hospital, where ARPD staff carry out fitting and alignment, gait training, and individualized rehabilitation — ensuring every patient achieves maximum comfort, function, and independence. In keeping with ARPD’s core values, all services under this program are provided entirely free of charge to beneficiaries.
