Para Sports Program

At ARPD, rehabilitation goes beyond the therapy room. We believe that sport is a powerful force for healing, confidence, and inclusion — and that persons with disabilities deserve every opportunity to compete, excel, and be celebrated. Our Para Sports Program was founded on this belief and continues to transform lives one competition at a time.

Our Story

Launched in 2015, ARPD’s Para Sports Program was built on the belief that athletic participation restores more than physical strength — it rebuilds identity and dignity. Many of our para-athletes are ARPD patients, employees, and rehabilitation participants who discovered a new purpose through sport and never looked back.

Training & Disciplines

Our athletes train at a dedicated sports facility within ARPD’s Rehabilitation Center in Peshawar, ensuring continuous access to both practice spaces and rehabilitation support.

  • Wheelchair Racing
  • Cricket
  • Table Tennis
  • Bocce
  • Archery
  • Strength-Based Events

Competing & Winning

The ARPD Para Sports Team competes regularly in provincial-level tournaments, including the prestigious “For All Sports — Games for Persons with Different Abilities.”

Organized by the Directorate General of Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, these events showcase the strength and determination of athletes with disabilities. Our athletes consistently bring home trophies, gold medals, and top positions across multiple disciplines.
